As fashion week is just around the corner and by that I mean it is only two and a half weeks until New York fashion week starts, I thought it might be a good idea to share this simple DIY project with you.
Whether you are a blogger needing something pretty to make notes in during the shows, a student who wants something to brighten up their never ending lectures or just after some new stationary, this DIY project is for you.
All you need is:
A plain card fronted notebook of your choice
Acrylic paint in your chosen colour,
A paintbrush
PVA glue
A paper doily
1) Open up the book so that it is lying flat on your work surface. Begin painting the first coat of paint to the cover. Repeat until you have an even coverage of paint.
2) Close the book. Align a paper doily so that the middle of the doily is placed along the spine of the book. Begin gluing the doily to the book taking care not to rip the paper.
3) Once the doily has been glued, open the book up to make sure there is enough movement so that the doily won't rip every time you use the book.
4) Begin using your book!
