The Moda de la Mode blog is no regular fashion blog...it is a creative hub. It fuses together creative people from all different areas in the world of fashion and creates a network of like minded people. Written and produced by one girl...Grace Molan, Moda de la Mode aims to provide a platform for emerging talent, showcasing their work to a global audience. Due to Moda de la Mode's international presence the blog has become a powerful tool in the promotion of young talent. Moda de la Mode is responsible for launching careers and causing the shift from underground to mainstream-whatever is promoted on the blog is guaranteed to become a big thing.
The blog has also become a useful tool for those wanting to break into the industry. The popular Interview section allows people to read about the careers of pivotal members of the fashion industry whilst giving readers an insight into what goes on behind the scenes in the world of fashion. Other popular features on the blog are the Events feature and the Menswear Monday feature, both of which are weekly features on the blog.
Early in 2012, Moda de la Mode branched out and delved into the world of print journalism. In addition to the blog, a biannual magazine, also titled Moda de la Mode, is produced allowing readers a more in depth look at the fashion industry. The magazine is edited by Grace but includes the work of many contributors, some of whom have gone on to work for bigger publications such as Dazed and Confused as a result.
The promotion and nurturing of emerging talent is Moda de la Mode's core focus and this focus is at the centre of everything published on the blog and in the magazine. I hope you enjoy the content you read and that it leaves you feeling inspired.
Grace Molan is the editor of both the Moda de la Mode blog and Moda de la Mode magazine. Grace started Moda de la Mode in 2010 as an escape from the stresses of A-Levels and it has been growing from strength to strength ever since. Grace is currently based in London and works in the fashion industry but finds time during evenings and weekends to update the blog and work on the magazine.
Some of the highlights so far include meeting Vogue's online editor, Dolly Jones, fashion designers Henry Holland and Erdem, Bloggers, Scott Schuman and Susie Lau and most recently, the Editor in Chief of Cosmopolitan magazine, Louise Court.
As well as working on Moda de la Mode, Grace is also a contributing writer for Olivia Palermo's blog, International Editor for QP magazine and is the Social Media Manager for Maggie Semple Ltd. In addition to writing, Grace has also worked closely with designers, helping them to develop their brands further.
